WEST HOLLYWOOD—Between February 11 and February 17, there were  a total of 10 car burglaries and 4 armed robberies in West Hollywood. A list of the car burglaries in addition to other crimes are reported below courtesy of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.

Car Burglaries

  • February 11, between 8:15-8:25 a.m.: On 600 block North Kings Road, a suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window of the vehicle and stole property in the back seat.
  • February 11, between 7:30-9:00 p.m.: On 8400 block Melrose Avenue, a suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window of the vehicle, but didn’t remove anything.
  • February 11, between 10:00 p.m. and 12:05 a.m.:  On 8800 block Beverly Blvd., a suspect smashed the rear windshield and stole belongings from the trunk.
  • February 11, between 7:20-8:50 p.m.: On 8400 block Melrose Ave, a suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and stole belongings from the front floorboard.
  • February 11, between 7:30-8:00 p.m.: On Laurel Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard., a suspect smashed the rear passenger side window and stole belongings from the back seat.
  • February 13, between 10:00-1:00 p.m.: On 1200 block Formosa Ave., a suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and stole $5 in coins.
  • February 15, between 8:15-11:00 p.m.: On Melrose Avenue and San Vincente Boulevard., a suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and stole belongings underneath the front seat.
  • February 15, between 9:55 p.m. and 1:55 a.m.: On Hilldale Avenue and Sunset Boulevard, a suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and messed up the interior. It’s unclear if any items were stolen.
  • February 16, between 1:30-5:00 p.m.: On 600 block Robertson Blvd., a suspect forcefully opened the driver’s side window open to remove belongings from the back seat.  
  • February 16, between 10:15-10:40 p.m.: On 8500 block Santa Monica Blvd., a suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and stole belongings from the back seat.

Armed Robberies

  • February 12, around 3:15 a.m.: On 7200 block Santa Monica Blvd., two men were removing items from their vehicles in an alley when three men armed with a handgun approached them and demanded their belongings. The suspects fled to their car and left the area following the victims’ compliance.
  • February 13, around 9:10 p.m.: On 7700 block Santa Monica Blvd., three men left a store without paying for two bottles of liquor. They punched the victim in the face when they were later confronted in the parking lot.
  • February 15, around 4:00 p.m.: On 8300 block Santa Monica Blvd., a suspect stole two pints of ice cream. The suspect pushed a victim and kneed him in the stomach in attempt to escape after being confronted by security. The suspect was later taken into custody.
  • February 15, around 8:00 a.m.: On 7300 block Santa Monica Blvd., a man armed with a knife approached a man who was walking his dog, demanding property. The suspect fled on foot after the victim complied.

Other

  • February 12, around 9:00 p.m.: On 700 block Westbourne Dr., a suspect used a key to enter the lobby and stole two wall paintings, as well as a package from the mailroom.
  • February 13, between 11:15 a.m. and 12:40 p.m.: On 8300 block Santa Monica Blvd., a man stole a woman’s wallet from an unattended purse in a shopping cart.
  • February 13, around 10:25 p.m.: On 8900 block Santa Monica Blvd., a man removed several shampoo bottles from a display after prying the front door open.
  • February 14, between 6:50-7:00 p.m.: On 7400 block Santa Monica Blvd., a man was asked to leave the premises of a business and retaliated by swinging a metal chain at the victim.
  • February 14, around 1:30 a.m.: On 8800 Santa Monica Blvd., a suspect stole a phone from an unattended purse inside of a club.
  • February 14, between 1:15-1:30 a.m.: On 500 block Doheny Dr., a man removed flea antibiotics from a display after using a crowbar to open the front door of the store.
  • February 15, around 9:45 a.m.: On 800 block West Knoll Dr., after an argument, a victim was hit on the head with barbeque tongs.
  • February 15, between 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: n 8600 block Melrose Ave., a suspect stole cash, blank checks, and two vintage tennis shoes from an office building

The West Hollywood’s Sheriff Station is investigating these crimes. There are no reports of any known suspects in the cases, and authorities have not determined if any of the crimes are related.
