UNITED STATES—President Donald Trump announced during the State of the Union Address that he has deployed 350,000 additional troops to border of the US and Mexico.

NBC News reported that hundreds of people from a new caravan are approaching the U.S. border at Eagle Pass, TX. The border station is equipped to process  a small number of cases per day. The wait may take a month.  Live video from the area shows bus loads of immigrants who have arrived at the border of Mexico and Eagle Pass, TX.

Texas Border Patrol Agents are currently able to process less than 20 cases a day. President Trump is sending 250 Troops to the small Texas town while Texas Department of Public Safety has also sent dozens of troopers in anticipation of the caravan.

“Approximately 2,000 [illegal] aliens have arrived in northern Mexico as part of a ‘caravan’ seeking to cross the border into Texas. Illegal entry will not be tolerated and we stand ready to prevent it,” said Department of Homeland Secretary Kirstjen M. Nielsen in a statement. “DHS will take all steps to ensure the safety and security of law enforcement personnel on the front lines,” she added.

According to new policies under the Trump administration, individuals who are seeking asylum must wait in Mexico while their cases are being processed.

On February 1st, ABC 15 News reported border patrol agents are working around the clock to cover a 276-mile border where immigrants have tried to climb over and dig underneath a fence leading to injuries including broken bones.

The enclosed Border Patrol video shared by Fox News shows illegal immigrants dropping children over the wall.

“These individuals that cross into the U.S. illegally, they’re relying on smugglers that guide them. They pay these smugglers anywhere from $500 to $5,000. Once they get here, they do a lot of times, what the smuggler tells them to do. He tells them to get inside the water and swim they’ll do that. He tells them to climb a tall ladder and jump across the border wall. What do they know any better?”  Border Patrol Agent, Joe Garibay with the Yuma Sector Public Affairs office told ABC News.

David Harris is reporting that migrants have been directed to come over the least protected or “barrier free zones” stating, “Spots along the border where there is no wall. Imagine that!”
