MALIBU—Two paintings have been stolen from the Sam Simon Foundation in Malibu and authorities are asking the public’s help in finding them. One of the paintings was by artist Roy Lichtenstein.

The artworks are valued at $400,000. They were reported stolen on April 10.

Sam Simon, producer and co-creator of “The Simpsons,” passed away in March from cancer at the age of 59.

The purpose of his foundation is to rescue dogs from animal shelters and train them to help the disabled.
