STUDIO CITY—A two-car collision on Saturday, July 14, resulted in one of the vehicles colliding into a fire hydrant causing water to spill out into the streets.

ABC 7 news reported the incidents transpired at around 10 p.m. on Laurel Canyon Boulevard near Dona Pegita Drive. The fire hydrant gushed water as high as trees in close proximity.

Officials from the Los Angeles Fire Department and Police Department closed off the area of the street where the water was spilled out. Authorities shut down the electricity from the power lines that were hanging over the water geyser to prevent anyone from being electrocuted.

Water was shut off in the region several hours later. There were no reports of any serious injuries during the incident.
