GLENDALE—Actor Drake Bell, 30, was sentenced on Friday, September 2, for a driving under the influence charge in 2015 in Glendale, CA, according to a press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Bell, born Jared Drake Bell on June 27, 1986, was sentenced to four years of probation and four days in county jail for driving under the influence.

Bell entered a no contest plea for one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol within 10 years of another DUI offense. The hearing was originally scheduled for October 7, 2016 but the date was advanced to September 2. Bell personally appeared at court to enter the plea. He also admitted to allegations of refusing to take a chemical test and a 2010 conviction of a DUI in San Diego.

After Bell entered his plea he was immediately taken into custody to begin his 96 hour county jail sentence. Bell was also ordered to complete an alcohol program and comply with DMV orders and restrictions on driving privileges. During the hearing, Bell was warned that he could be charged with murder for any future DUIs that result in someone’s death.

On December 21, 2015, Bell was arrested after driving erratically on San Fernando Road. The case was investigated by the Glendale Police Department. Public Information Officer, Ricardo Santiago, told Canyon News that the DUI case in San Diego occurred on November 29, 2009 and Bell was convicted on May 14, 2010.

Bell was born in Santa Ana, California. He is known for his work in the television series “Drake and Josh” and movies like “Superhero Movie” and “High Fidelity.”
