MALIBU—Actor Michael Madsen, known for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill: Vol. 1” and for playing gun-toting tough guys was sentenced to four days in county jail for driving under the influence and crashing into a pole in Malibu this year, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday, August 15.

Madsen was arrested in March after he crashed his Land Rover into a pole. There were no reports of any injuries during the incident.

Upon striking the pole, deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department arrived to the scene and the actor was placed under arrest. In an agreement with prosecutors, the 61-year-old entered his plea to one count of driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol level within 10 years of another DUI offense.

Apart from spending four days in county jail, the actor will serve 5 years of summary probation. The case was investigated by the LASD.
