HOLLYWOOD — The character “Revenge” lovers have come to hate has returned once again. Yes, Mason Treadwell made his way back into the mix of things as Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) reached out to the writer for secrets about her nemesis Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp) in episode 18 “Blood.”  The episode was more of a game of cat and mouse to see who would get the edge first: Victoria or Emily?

It became quite apparent that the attraction between Emily and Aiden (Barry Sloane) would reach a fever pitch, and audiences should expect another love triangle really soon, in my opinion. Our heroine took a journey with Aiden to visit his mother who he hasn’t seen in years. It was quite the trip for Em who discovered much more about Aiden than she ever knew, like the fact that he was the one who found his father’s body. The entire ruse was to get information from mommy dearest about his father’s involvement with Pascal.

Speaking of Pascal it appears his relationship with Victoria is on the up and up, but at the same time he’s placing himself in a bad situation. Those who become acquainted with Victoria Grayson, always pay the ultimate price; usually with their death. Our evil one was up to no good as she visited Treadwell in prison to obtain additional information about Emily’s interest in the Grayson family. As always, Mason treaded around her questions in an attempt to see what she’d give him in return for his secrets.

This placed Emily in a tricky spot; I mean it’s not like she could just swoop into town to take care of things herself, hence, the introduction to her super spies, Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Jack (Nick Wechsler). This was quite the concern for Daniel (Joshua Bowman) who confided in Charlotte (Christa B. Allen) not to trust Jack. She blew him off at first, but when she noticed the interaction between Nolan and Jack at the bar, it was an eye-opener. Would Charlotte really betray Jack to do Daniel’s dirty bidding? It sure looks like it, as it became evident that Nolan’s new houseguest is secretly working for Charlotte. I fear for this little one, she’s playing adult games and she could end up paying the ultimate price for her deception.

Would she really betray the brother of the guy she loved unconditionally for the Grayson clan, even though she is indeed a Clarke? Due time will tell.  Speaking of Jack, it appears his relationship with Margaux (Karine Vanasse) is on thin ice. Her burgeoning friendship with Daniel has Jack concerned, just as Margaux noticed the sparks between him and Emily. Can anyone say hypocrite? How could you inform Jack that you’re not a fan of jealous men, yet, last week you were super jealous about his friendship with Emily. This sets up an interesting slew of points, as it appears Daniel and Margaux have eyes for one another. I fear she’ll make a betrayal that will stab Jack in the back, which will enrage him.

That wasn’t the only fatal blow for nice guy Jack who found that his mother Stevie (Gail O’Grady) fell off the wagon thanks to Victoria. She is indeed a wicked one, but as they say what goes around comes around and Victoria will pay a hefty price for all her devious ways, it’s just a question of when and how. I mean to tempt a recovering alcoholic with a bottle of wine, and using her fragile state of mind to push her out of town was just evil. Jack decided to help his mother get back on track by taking her home, I wonder how he’ll react once he learns Victoria was the guilty party?

Perhaps one of the stunners of the episode was Mason Treadwell croaking inside his prison cell after placing some cream on his face. Someone poisoned the cream and everyone in the prison and the

Hamptons suspected that good ole Mason was dead, but not so fast. Nolan to the rescue! He rescued Mason from prison and sent him far, far away, but not before he divulged another tidbit about Pascal’s past. The author, who has the goods on this devious businessman, is very much alive and he faked his death to protect himself.

I wonder who this mysterious party is and just how deep Pascal is involved in the David Clarke mystery. The audience already knows that Conrad (Henry Czerny) is pulling quite a few strings, but things are not all as they seem. Until next Sunday “Revenge” lovers!
