SHERMAN OAKS—Actress Ariel Winter, known for her role as Alex Dunphy in the ABC sitcom “Modern Family,” sold her Sherman Oaks home for $1.65 million, according to reports.

Winter purchased the house in 2016 for $1.575 million and initially placed it on the market for $1.75 million in May 2017. The listing price was reduced to $1.7 million in June and $1.65 million in July.

Built in 2016, the 3,200-square-foot residence features four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, a 14-foot skylight-topped entryway, an open floor plan with wide-plank hardwood floors, a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, and a wine cellar. The open kitchen includes quartz countertops, a lengthy island, a country-style sink, and a butler’s pantry. The master suite features a large walk-in wardrobe, a bathroom with marble stall shower and soaking tub, and glass doors that open to a backyard lap pool and spa. Outside, the yard is surrounded by hedges and contains a lounging area and grilling station.

The actress recently purchased a 5,000-square-foot home in Studio City for $2.7 million. The house reportedly features 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

Winter, 19, appeared in a variety of shows throughout her childhood, including “Freddie,” “Bones,” and “ER,” and the animated show “Phineas and Ferb.” In 2009, she took on the regular role of brainy middle child Alex Dunphy in the ABC comedy “Modern Family.” She and her castmates won four Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

In 2012, she took on the leading role in the comedy “The Chaperone,” which earned her a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Leading Young Actress in a Feature Film. She was cast as Sofia, the lead character in the Disney animated series “Sofia the First,” which premiered in 2013. In 2014, she voiced the character of Penny Peterson in the Dreamworks animation film “Mr. Peabody and Sherman.”

The actress will begin her first year at UCLA this fall.
