SANTA MONICA—Authorities arrested two suspects in connection to the theft of a BMW and Mercedes-Benz from the Major Motors car dealership in Santa Monica.
Surveillance footage from the incident that transpired on February 24, shows a man and woman breaking into the storage lot of the dealership. The cars stolen had a total estimated cost of over $150,000.
The suspect and his girlfriend entered the dealership earlier in the week to test drive a vehicle. He noted that he was visiting from Colorado and wanted to purchase a high-end vehicle because he recently signed a large record deal, KTLA 5 news reported.
The names of the suspects have not yet been disclosed to the public.
