Celebrity Gossip!

Celebrity gossip has become an obsession of the masses. The ubiquitous splashing of celebrity gossip comes in all forms of the media and even in lunch-hour chat circles. Celebrities become pseudo-pals to substitute the uneventful lifestyles and fill the gap of anonymous lives. Unfortunately, in our society there are people who like to see those above them in status brought down. Whether too thin or too fat, the media will keep a celebrity in the public eye.
Moving right along, with those ridiculously horrid, fake Louis Vuitton bags with cherries on them, you’ll pick up a tabloid and notice the cover of a magazine with celebrities shrinking before your eyes. Why so thin? Some say it could be stress - the pressure on celebrities to have a certain image.
Kelly Osbourne has commented about her alarm at how skinny one of her famous friends has become. Kelly, not naming names, described her shock and disappointment at the recent "less is more" fad. “Take a look at some of the young actresses who are really popular now. They’ve responded to the pressure to always look good by whittling themselves down so extremely that looking fat - from even the worst angle - is pretty near impossible, “ reports Teen Hollywood.
“Sure, they’re beautiful in photographs, but when you see them in person, they look hungry and miserable. It’s so disturbing because some of these girls are my friends, and they’re starving themselves. There’s one in particular I think of often. I was like, 'What are you doing to yourself? You’re 18 years old.'”
The singer says her buddy’s recent weight loss made her feel sick and she’s frankly fed up with the whole thin thing.
By the time you read this we will have a new American Idol. It will be Carrie Underwood or Bo Bice. Carrie, Simon Cowell's choice from before Day 1, seems unbeatable. Carrie is the only singer never to have been in the bottom three. The new American Idol will certainly be in good hands with the legendary Clive Davis.
The producers of “American Idol” are searching for the next Justin Timberlake or Usher this summer. Fox will be embarking on a new reality show, “So You Think You Can Dance.” An open casting call will be held in Los Angeles on Friday, June 3, at The Orpheum Theatre.
Fox will be competing with ABC’s new show, “Dancing With the Stars,” a ballroom dancing competition set to air on June 1.
The 58th international Cannes Film Festival is in full throttle, and the stars are there to see and be seen. Some of the stars that flocked to the festival are Salma Hayek, Robert Downey Jr., Michelle Monaghan, Val Kilmer, David Morrissey, Kid Rock and the stunning Sharon Stone, who was sporting a new look with longer and lighter locks. Motherhood definitely agrees with Sharon Stone - she adopted a son, Laird Vonne Stone, on May 7.
It looks like Beyonce will be in high-powered company. Jamie Foxx will be climbing onboard for the big-screen adaptation of “Dream Girls.” Foxx will be playing the Berry Gordy-like mogul behind the fictionalized version of The Supremes, and Usher will be cast as the choreographer of the trio. So who else is in talks to join the cast?Eddie Murphy!
Rose’s Scoop: Are you ready “Summerland” fans? Five new episodes will be airing on June 7 on the WB. Will Ken Jennings add another $ 2 million to his winnings? He’ll play the final round of “The Ultimate Tournament of Champions” May 23-25.
Wishing everyone a safe, happy Memorial Day Weekend!
