Divorce, Hollywood Style!

No one goes into marriage with the idea of breaking up, but it happens. You invested ten, twenty, thirty years in the marriage and one day you’re faced with the emotional pain and agony of divorce. Women are devastated if the breakup of their marriage is caused by a third party, usually another woman. The feelings of betrayal, abandonment, lack of self-esteem, and rejection plague us. Women experience these feelings prior to the grieving period. The loss is even greater when children are involved, and unfortunately some adults use children as tools. I’m not a psychologist or a therapist, but I’ve experienced a divorce over a decade ago and can certainly empathize with women who are dealing through the emotional pain. I don’t agree with women who become bitter after a divorce and bash their ex’s, and do everything possible to destroy their careers. I strongly implore women not to bad-mouth the ex, it portrays you as a scorned, unclassy woman. I understand the pain, but in time a person moves on and rises above it. Who knows, someday you’ll even become friends with the person who caused the break-up. I did! Get this; someone has come up with the website, www.dontdatehimgirl.com , where you can research him, before you date.
Divorce, Hollywood style, sometimes lingers on even after three years. It seems that Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin are still not seeing eye to eye over their daughter, Ireland. The battle got ugly a few weeks ago, as each accused the other of having mental or emotional problems. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Maren Nelson said she found no reason to alter the custody agreement. She did not rule on Alex Baldwin’s psychological evaluation request. Court paper were filed in which Baldwin claimed Basinger “has a pathological need” to turn their daughter Ireland,10, against him, and he is asking for a psychological evaluation of the actress. Kim Basinger’s attorneys fired back: We believe that Mr. Baldwin has severe emotional problems.” said Basinger’s attorney Neal Hersh, reported the Associated Press. Regardless, Basinger and Baldwin are two very talented actors.
The rumors began surfacing on the internet last year that English singer Kate Bush, 48, was planning on making a comeback and releasing a much-anticipated album after a 12-year silence. The album titled “Aerial” was released on November 8th. In a recent Los Angeles Times interview, Bush stated “A lot of people refer to me as a recluse, which I’m not. But I do like to try and live as normal a life as possible. I just find that much more interesting than spending my life living in publicity…I like to just get on with my life, really.” The analogy in Kate Bush’s interview was that if you’re a rock star or a pop star and keep your distance from the public, and don’t rub elbows with the inner circles of the music business, the public will speculate that you’re a recluse.
Speaking of music, I just listened to Kevin Federline’s first single, “Y’all Ain’t Ready,” which was leaked on the internet. The single is from his hip-hop CD, “The Truth”, which is being released next year. Federline, 27, who is married to the “Princess of Pop” Britney Spears says during the chorus of the song: “Back then they called me K-fed/ But you can call me Daddy.” Ok, let’s see if he’ll sell 2 million copies.
