Have your wedding at a nice, romantic place……………far away.Going to Jamaica or St. Lucia may prove cheaper than a huge wedding at a local church or facility.You may have to fly a small party there, but overall costs could be less.
Use one type of flower that’s in season for table centerpieces
Use thermography instead of engraving on invitations.It will still give you the raised affect, but for a cheaper price.
Create favors yourself.Many stores have party favors that you can make your own, using your wedding colors, of course.
Share your vows in a morning wedding.Morning weddings are less expensive, considering food, transportation, music, and hall rentals.
Break the mold: Avoid Saturday or June weddings.
Don’t go crazy with the registry gun.Only register gifts that are practical and that you will really use.
Cash-bar instead of an open-bar
Don’t try to give a Sunday dinner, consider a lighter menu such as a champagne & hors d’oeuvres reception or a champagne brunch/buffet
Have your friends and family cater the wedding for you
Make your own wedding programs for the ceremony
Play pre-recorded music instead of a band or a DJ
Rent a luxury car instead of a limousine
