ECHO PARKāOn Oct. 19, defendant David Ramirez pleaded guilty to two counts of vandalism over $400, according to a Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office spokeswoman.
He was sentenced by Judge Norm Shapiro to three years probation, 46 days in county jail and ordered to complete 200 hours of community service cleaning up grafitti. Other charges were dismissed.
In late August, the 20-year-old was prosecuted for spraying dozens of tags along Sunset Boulevard.
His mother, Victoria Villicano, who was accused of driving her two sons and their three friends around town in a sport utility vehicle so they could spray grafitti, will not face charges.
According to the DA's spokeswoman, "charges were dismissed in the interest of justice."
However, Villicano was sentenced to 90 days in county jail for a probation violation related to a drug arrest earlier this year. She was convicted of possession for sale of a narcotic.
