BEVERLY HILLS—I'm a little 4 year old Shih Tzu named "Morena". I understand that my ancestors originated in Tibet and were kept in Temples as sacred dogs. They were occasionally given to Emporers of China.as a tribute of great honor and became the little Temple dogs. But do you know what? I would love to be adopted by just an ordinary loving family and live in an ordinary home. Of course, if you wanted to treat me a little special, I won't argue!
Having a long , silky coat I do need a little extra care. I should really be professionally groomed every 3 or 4 weeks, and should be brushed every day to keep my hair from becoming tangled and matted. If you keep my coat in a puppy clip, which is much more comfortable, the brushing takes no time at all and that can be our own special together time. You do want to be proud of me, don't you? Let's see what else I can tell you about myself. Oh, yes, I get along with other dogs, cats and children. I'm not aggressive in any way. I don't growl if you try to take anything away from me and don't guard my toys or food. I'm not a jumper or barker. Gosh, it seems like I'm just about perfect! You'll have to come to see me and then decide for yourself! Don't forget, you don't have to live in a Temple or be royalty. Just life with an average family is my dream! So won't you please call to see me? Please don't forget that we always need volunteers to walk and socialize with our dogs and help in our cattery. No matter if it's a only an hour once in a while, it is so appreciated by all.
