 – Nathan Lee Hall, the Los Angeles parolee arrested for the 2005 fatal stabbing of a Beverly Hills painting contractor and the assault of his co-worker, was sentenced April 20 to two consecutive life prison terms plus five years.

Last Sunday, at 11:30 a.m., 20-year-old Christopher Broughton was washing his Pontiac with two of his neighbors. A few minutes later, gunshots were heard around the neighborhood. The neighbors ran, but Broughton was already caught in the crossfire. An unidentified assailant chased Broughton around his car and then down the street until he made it into his house.
