UNITED STATES—Literary recluse J.D. Salinger will re-enter the literary world once his unreleased works are published during the next few years, according to claims made by biographers.

Reports state that at least four new books by the celebrated author are expected to be released between 2015 and 2020. The news was ousted by a new biography on the writer entitled “Salinger” (Simon & Schuster), set to be released on September 3; a companion documentary of the same name is also planned for theatrical release on September 6.

Authors David Shields and Shane Salerno cite “two independent and separate” sources in their claim, though the sources remain unknown. According to Shields and Salerno, Salinger approved the newly revealed books for publication. No publisher is known.

The books are said to contain further tales on the Glass family, and one book will reportedly center on “The Catcher in the Rye” problematic protagonist Holden Caulfield. Also included will be two separate narratives set during the second World War, and the new stories will also draw heavily from the author's immersion in Eastern religion.

Salinger died in 2010 at the age of 91. His last published story was released around 1965, and since then, the writer had ceased publishing. He did, however, continue to write during his self-imposed exile, and if the reports of new works from the author remain factual, then fans will soon witness the literary re-emergence of their favored author.
