LOS ANGELES—Is your life feeling a little topsey-turvey? Well, we have the cats for you...These brothers at 4 weeks of age were discovered huddled together under an apartment building with no sign of a mom.

Featured Cats: Topsey and Turvey

These brothers at 4 weeks of age were discovered huddled together under an apartment building with no sign of a mom.  They arrived into the orphanage that same day. We are seeking an adoption for them together.  They are very close and provide much comfort to each other.  They are now three months old.

Topsey requires a little time to become comfortable in new surroundings, but if you sit back and let him work through his shyness, the bond will come. Turvey has the most outgoing personality of the two.  He loves to get kisses on his adorable spotted belly. They are a good complement to each other and will fill your life with play, entertainment and love.  For more information, contact sheila@canyonnewspaper.com or go to www.rescueangels.org.

Concerning Cats: Bad Luck for Black Cats

Halloween is almost here again and, no matter how much he or she dislikes it, keep your black cats inside! Most shelters and all rescue groups that I know about refuse adoption of black cats in October.

Why? Because, sick as it sounds, black cats are targets of those who want to practice Satanic-like rituals which may include the torture and killing of animals. Halloween is the time when these horrors most often happen.

To be really safe it is not a bad idea to keep all your cats inside when October 31 draws near since, if there is not a black cat to be found, no cat of any color is necessarily safe.

So please keep your feline family inside on Halloween. He or she may consider it a dirty trick but it's really a very sweet treat.
