Hollywood closed the week with a few surprises. Britney Spears’ legal team did not ask an LA judge to extend the restraining order they filed against her former manager Sam Lufti. But they have made it perfectly clear that they do not want him anywhere near the pop singer.

In an official statement, Spears' lawyer Samuel D. Ingham says, "Britney has made clear to everyone that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama 'Sam' Lutfi, now or at anytime in the future."

The pop singer's father, Jamie, has decided against the order extension, as his role as conservator of Spears' estate enables him to decide who sees his famous daughter, according to reports.

While Rosie O’Donnell has promised to quit making posts on her official blog. She says she’s developed an addiction to the internet blog and wants to take a break from it. Rosie has called her experience blogging, “too draining.” But she’s only promising a month free from it. Millions of her fans are hoping that she’ll return to writing after the month is over.

Patrick Swayze has reportedly been approached to star in a sequel to his hit 1987 movie “Dirty Dancing.“ The film, which also starred actress Jennifer Grey, spawned a spin-off movie” Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights in 2004 with a young, then-unknown cast.

But now Swayze, who is currently battling pancreatic cancer, is said to be considering a return to the role which shot him to international fame.

While talk is also abound about a movie spinoff of “Spiderman.” No word if Tobey Maguire is planning to return in any such flick.
