LOS ANGELES—The 2012 Golden Future 50+ Senior Expo is back, and back in style! Not only will amazing free services be offered, but attendees can expect informative and helpful talks on a wide variety of social and health topics, and even those seeking employment can visit the mini-job fair, as some of the visiting vendors will be hiring.

This year, the revelry takes place on Saturday, June 9, at Hollywood Park, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., inside of the Grand Ballroom on the second floor. This fun-filled event is specially catered to adults 50 and up (and their family members and friends).

The Expo will feature various activities, free health screenings (which will include blood sugar testing, stress testing, oral dental evaluations, blood pressure, EECP treatment), more than 70 exhibitors, lectures and services of special interest to baby boomers and seniors. Presentation topics will include Retirement Planning, Housing Options, Diabetes, Social Security, Medicare, Reverse Mortgages, Disaster Preparedness, Living Your Best Life, and more.

Vendor booths at the Expo will be fun and interactive.
Attendees can even meet one-on-one with a financial advisor at no charge and receive financial advice.

Among the many forms of entertainment at the event will be free mini-massages, free makeovers, a fitness workshop, a financial planning workshop, free caricature sketches, Antique Appraisal Clinic, a magic show and casino and table games on the first floor.

Yet more merriment will be provided in the form of thousands of dollars worth of door prizes and giveaways. (And the prizes are impressive! They include Ancestry.com memberships, tickets to the LA County Fair, massage and acupuncture gift certificates, and more.)
The creator of Chair Tai Chi, Patrick Griffith, will also be giving fitness demonstrations throughout the day.

Another fun activity attendees may choose to partake in will be live horse racing and betting. And since the event takes places on the second floor of Hollywood Park Casino (which overlooks the race track), attendees can watch horse racing and also can bet without having to go all the way to the racetrack.

Also among some of the special guests at the event will be
California Senator Roderick Wright, California Assemblymember Betsy Butler, and California Assembleymember Mike Feuer.

The not-to-miss event was started in 2009 by producer Toyia Moore. Moore recognized a need more and larger events which specifically catered to the growing baby boomer and senior populations. Since 2009, this event has been held across California in such locales as Ventura County, San Diego, Pasadena, the Inland Empire region and Orange County, and next year, the organizers plans to showcase the event in Northern California.

Admission and parking is free and everyone in the Greater Los Angeles area (and beyond) is welcome to attend.

Attendees can pre-register online at goldenfutureseniorexpo.com for a chance to win a 1-year membership to Ancestry.com. Interested attendees can also find out more information by calling 818-763-4197.
