PACIFIC PALISADES—On September 9, 2008 the Chabad Jewish Community Center will be hosting a Survivor’s Honorary Evening. The event will be held at the Riviera Country Club at 1250 Capri Drive in Pacific Palisades.

The honorary speaker for the evening will be Mr. Leon Leyson, the youngest living survivor of the list made famous by the movie "Schindler’s List."  He will be recounting his own story of his survival during the Holocaust, when he took refuge by working as a slave laborer at a factory owned by a German businessman named Oskar Schindler, who saved thousands of lives by employing Polish Jews during the Holocaust.

Tuesday evening's event will commence at around 7:30 p.m. Regular admission is about $36 per person. Guests planning on attending are advised to RSVP by September 3, 2008. An admission ticket price of $126 is also offered to guests who want preferred seating. Not only will those guests be seated in the front but they will also be able to meet and greet with guest speaker Mr. Leon Lyson, as well as other honorees, an hour before the event.

The event is expected to sell out for the evening.  Space is limited.
