Hollywood's 'It' Girl Hannah Marks, Exclusive
Posted by Tommy Garrett on Sep 14, 2011 - 2:30:36 PM

HOLLYWOOD—Tonight’s exciting season finale of “Necessary Roughness” on the USA network is highly anticipated. The beautiful and talented actress Hannah Marks, who portrays the troubled, rebellious and extremely smart Long Island teen Lindsay Santino says that we can expect an exciting finale for the show that has been a popular, groundbreaking series on Wednesday nights.

Lindsay is the product of a recently broken family, and lives with her mother, a recent divorcee and psychotherapist for the NFL star receiver on their hometown team. The series follows the family and how their world begins to unravel when her mother catches her father cheating. The show airs every Wednesday night at 10 p.m. on the USA Network. “Tommy, the show is filmed in Atlanta, it’s the first time I’d worked with the crew, and they could not have been nicer. Our entire production team and the cast are all great people, very professional, and I feel honored to be a part of the show,” said Marks. The stunning brunette actress also describes her character to readers. “Lindsay is a very different person than I am. At first, I wondered about her, but she’s very argumentative and stands up for herself and she is not afraid to say how she feels. I’m not an angry person,” the actress said while laughing.

The actress, who started out on stage as a young girl, has morphed into a terrific actress, and she will be appearing in next summer’s highly anticipated mega-blockbuster “The Amazing Spider-Man” opposite Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. The film is slated for release on July 3, 2012, and shall propel Marks into even greater stardom. The young beauty is not your average teen. “I have been a vegetarian most of my life. Even as a child, I never liked meat, it was just not for me. So my mom would make me great dishes and meals. It’s important to also make sure that you do not become deficient in protein, and so I only encourage young people to be sure to learn about this lifestyle and even see their doctor before making the choice. Surely I think it’s the best thing I ever did for myself and for the planet, but I want others to be responsible about it and not make themselves sick,” said Hannah.

Her passion and love for acting surfaced at the tender age of 6, and it has put her on the fast-track in Hollywood. She began her professional career with roles on the silver screen starting with horror films and followed by the hit comedy “Accepted” with Justin Long, and her most recent appearance in the film “The Runaways,” alongside Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning. With numerous television credits, including recurring roles on hit shows like “Weeds” and “Flashforward,” as well as guest starring appearances on “Private Practice,” “Criminal Minds,” “Ugly Betty” and “Numb3rs.” The beautiful young actress has now become a household name, but with her great exposure, she remains a strong role model for youth, much like her co-star Kristen Stewart has done as well.

The young stunner, who is a Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo native, has used her many talents and sterling reputation as Hollywood’s good girl and “It” girl to start Mustrd Apparel. “I started it with my boyfriend some times ago, Tommy. We are working to become completely eco-friendly, and soon we hope to be 100 percent eco-friendly." You can learn more about the amazing performer’s T-shirt line at MustrdApparel.com.

The T-shirts are available to locals in several stores on the famed Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood and obviously online as well. Hannah also is involved with a charity close to her heart. Her charitable contributions include the Casey Lee Ball Foundation benefiting pediatric kidney disease as well as Teen Living, a foundation that helps homeless teens in Chicago. “Casey is a cousin of mine, and all of my family supports this foundation,” concluded the actress Hannah Marks.

From amazing acting, to quality T-shirts, to working behind the scenes of a charity close to her heart, you don’t want to miss a minute of getting to enjoy the work Hannah Marks is doing in Hollywood and beyond. And most importantly, don’t miss the season finale of “Necessary Roughness” tonight at 10 p.m. on the USA Network.
