BEVERLY HILLS—The 54th Annual Thalians Ball will honor legendary film, stage and TV star Mickey Rooney and the USO Shows supporting America's Armed Forces around the world. Thalians founders, actresses Debbie Reynolds and Ruta Lee, will host the evening along with a contemporary version of Uncle Sam.
Many of Mickey Rooney's leading ladies from MGM and other studios will be performing and attending this year. There are too many co-stars to list since Mickey has been working with so many of them in all different age groups. Mickey Rooney has not retired so the Beverly Hilton Ballroom will be a night of beautiful women of all age groups. Those performing will include Nancy Sinatra, Debbie Reynolds, Connie Stevens, Ruta Lee and comedian-ventriloquist Terry Fator, winner of "America's Got Talent" 2007 and headlining for 10 years at the Mirage in Las Vegas in "Terry Fator And His Cast Of Thousands." Simon Cowell called him one of the best entertainers in the world. Also, there will be a special appearance by The Golddiggers who are on national tour singing and dancing up a storm as they did on “The Dean Martin Show” and USO shows around the world.
The 54th Thalians Ball shall benefit the Thalians Mental Health Center at Cedars-Sinai. There are many ticket sale opportunities starting out at $400 per seat and up. Included in the evening’s taped for television activities will be live performances from the stars, cocktails, gourmet dinner and fine wines from the Beverly Hilton's world class chefs, a silent and live auction of the best travel, fashion, memorabilia, jewelry and dining experiences money can buy—all at sensational reduced prices. Dancing music will be provided by the highly popular live sounds of Lynn Keller and the Suits. The show will be taped for television by ATI-Associated Television International, Executive Producer/Director David McKenzie. The Thalians event producer is Blake Lindquist.
