HOLLYWOOD—It's Friday, and you know what that means, time for new movies. Hitting theaters this weekend is the romantic comedy “Baggage Claim” starring Paula Patton. The movie is about a flight attendant (Patton) who is determined to find the love of her life by having encounters with her exes which include the likes of Taye Diggs, Derek Luke, Boris Kodjoe and Trey Songz.
Adam Brody and Jill Scott play best friends to Patton’s character. The picture is written and directed by David E. Talbert and is expected to deliver quite a bit of laughs for those looking for humor this weekend. If drama is your cup of tea, than director Ron Howard’s “Rush” should be on your list.
The picture is based on a true story about Formula One drivers James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl). If you are fan of a sports films and race-cars this movie will be right up your alley. The movie is more of a tale of rivalry and proving one’s credibility more than just racing fast cars. With Ron Hard behind the camera and producing the project, the picture is generating quite a bit of critical acclaim.
Enjoy the pickings this weekend because October ushers in some major Oscar buzz movies like “Gravity” and “Captain Phillips." Of course we can’t forget it's the prime season for horror flicks.
