“Breaking Dawn” Gets 11 Razzie Nominations

HOLLYWOOD—It's apparent that not everyone is a fan of the “Twilight” franchise, as the final installment in the series “Breaking Dawn Part 2” racked up 11 Razzie nominations, including Worst Movie of the Year.  “That’s My Boy” garnered 8 nominations, while “Battleship” got 7 nominations. Those pictures will compete alongside “A Thousand Words” and “The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure.”

The Cast of Breaking Dawn Part 2

Tyler Perry is a double nominee for Worst Actor for both “Alex Cross” and “Good Deeds,” as well as Worst Actress for “Madea’s Witness Protection.” Competing against Perry in the Worst Actress race is Katherine Heigl “One for the Money,” Kristen Stewart “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2” and “Snow White and the Huntsman,” Barbara Streisand “The Guilt Trip,” and Milla Jovovich “Resident Evil: Retribution.”  For Worst Actor, other nominees include Nicolas Cage “Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance,” Eddie Murphy “A Thousand Words,” Adam Sandler “That’s My Boy,” and Robert Pattinson “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.”

 

Worst Supporting Actress nominees include Jessica Biel “Total Recall” and “Playing For Keeps,” Ashley Greene “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,” Brooklyn Decker “Battleship” and “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” Jennifer Lopez “What to Expect When You’re Expecting,” and Rihanna “Battleship.”

 

David Hasselhoff will compete in the Worst Supporting Actor race for “Piranha 3DD,” alongside Liam Neeson “Battleship” and “Wrath of the Titans,” Nick Swardson “That’s My Boy,” Vanilla Ice “That’s My Boy,” and Taylor Lautner “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.”

 

Nominees for Worst Screen Couple include Mackenzie Foy and Taylor Lautner “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,” Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,” Tyler Perry and Madea “Madea’s Witness Protection,” Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester or Susan Sarandon “That’s My Boy,” and any two cast members from “Jersey Shore” in “The Three Stooges.”

 

In the category for Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel, the nominees are “Piranha 3DD,” “Red Dawn,” “Madea’s Witness Protection,” “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,” and “Ghost Rider 2: Spirit of Vengeance.” Nominees for Worst Director include Sean Anders “That’s My Boy,” Bill Condon “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2,” John Putch “Atlas Shrugged: Part 2,” Tyler Perry “Good Deeds” and “Madea’s Witness Protection,” and Peter Berg “Battleship.”


The race for Worst Screen Ensemble includes “Battleship,” “The Oogieloves in Big Balloon Adventure,” “Madea’s Witness Protection,” “That’s My Boy,” and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.” 

 

The 33rd Annual Golden Raspberry Awards will be handed out on Saturday, February 23, just one day before the 85th Annual Academy Awards.
