HOLLYWOOD—On Monday, August 12, shadowhunters and mundanes walked the black carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” at the Hollywood ArcLight Cinemas Cinerama Dome.

Fans were ready and waiting with their iPhones, movie posters and sharpies for the cast to sign.  The movie hits theaters nationwide on August 21. The lady of the night was actress Lily Collins who wore a jaw-dropping white Cushine et Osch dress, while actors Jamie Campell Bower, Kevin Zegers, and Robert Sheehan skipped the traditional black-and-white tux going with navy blue and paisley.

“The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” is book one in the six-part series by acclaimed writer Cassandra Clare, and the series chronicles 15 year-old Clary Fray who discovers she is more than just a mortal and is thrown into a fight battling demons, werewolves, vampires, and more. Over the years, “The Mortal Instruments” books have topped the charts in the genre of YA fantasy novels and continues to collect a strong fandom of shadowhunters and mundanes.
