HOLLYWOOD—There were big rumblings in Hollywood this week as news about upcoming movies involving Clint Eastwood and Olivia Munn were announced. Benedict Cumberbatch will exit Del Toro’s “ Crimson Peak,” Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie will lead Paul Bettany’s “Shelter,” Tyler Bates is set to score “Guardians of The Galaxy” and Hayley Atwell is joining “Cinderella.”

Mia Wasikowska, Charlie Hunnam and Jessica Chastain remain attached to the “ Crimson Peak” project which revolves around a ghost story. Production is slated to begin early 2014. Olivia Munn is in talks to join David Koepp’s “Mortdecai” where she would star opposite Johnny Depp, Ewan McGregor and Gwyneth Paltrow.


Paul Bettany is set to make his directorial debut with his upcoming project “Shelter.” Bettany wrote the screenplay for the film.

Hayley Atwell, star of “Captain America: The First Avenger,” has joined the cast of Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming “Cinderella.” Atwell will next reprise her role as Peggy Carter in the Marvel Studios short film “Agent Carter.” After Spielberg’s departure from “American Sniper,” the project is still on, but will be helmed by Clint Eastwood. Eastwood has his sights set on the Warner Bros. film, which has Bradley Cooper attached to play the lead role of U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle.
