The second annual Hi-Def Film Festival began its run on
December 27, 2007 and is expected to last until
January 7, 2008. The event showcases up and coming talent in the film industry and shows the various capabilities that HD can have on film. Films at the screening will only be shown once and the event is open to the public free of charge, except on opening and closing day when ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors.

The mastermind behind the The Godfather has passed away. Peter Zinner a film editor who had worked on countless American classics passed away on
Tuesday, November 13, 2007 from complications with his battle with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He is survived by his daughter Katina who is also a film editor.
