HOLLYWOOD—My friend Jamie Masada is trying hard to keep people in Los Angeles and Hollywood cheered up during a very trying time economically for the nation. The Laugh Factory continues with its mission to cheer people up during this terrible economic crisis with its new weekly show, "Laughing with the Stars."
Admission to this show is free to anybody who can show proof of their unemployment or their unemployment check stub. Laughing with the Stars is every Wednesday at 10 p.m. and Thursday at 8 p.m. at The Laugh Factory Hollywood, and 8 p.m. Thursday at The Laugh Factory Long Beach.
Since the onset of this economic crisis, Laugh Factory owner, Jamie Masada has been making several efforts to bring happiness to as many people as possible. In addition to "Laughing with the Stars," he is petitioning Congress for a $700,000 fund, à la FDR's Works Progress Administration, to send struggling comics out to perform for the economically depressed. Masada says, “Laugh Factory Hollywood and Long Beach and all of our comedians feel like we have a serious responsibility to cheer people up from their troubles and worries. A comedy show can have a tremendous healing affect on a person’s state of mind.”
But this funnyman is a lot more than a businessman. He’s one with a huge heart. The handsome and talented Jamie Masada believes that we were put on this earth to help one another, and he’s on a mission to make a difference in the lives of the people who need help the most. Masada’s crusade is one guided by his enormous heart.
