OMAHA, NE—The UCLA Bruins were eliminated Tuesday night from the NCAA Men's College World Series.
After falling behind 2-0 in the first inning, the Bruins were never able to get back in the game. The Florida St. Seminoles outplayed the Bruins in every aspect of the game, and secured a 4-1 win.
#3 Florida St. is the highest remaining seed in the tournament, as the #2 Bruins and #1Florida Gators have been eliminated.
FSU must now beat the Arizona Wildcats twice in a row to advanced the the championship series.
The Bruins finished the season with a 48-16 record, that is good for the second-most wins in school history.
