Player Returns In A Big Way
Posted by Tommy Garrett on Aug 9, 2009 - 10:33:02 PM

HOLLYWOODThe band Player is coming back in a major way. Actor and the band's bass player Ronn Moss, who portrays Ridge Forrester on CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful,” along with musician extraordinaire Peter Beckett, have teamed up again with music icons J.C. Crowley and Dennis Lambert to remind all of Player’s fans of the band’s history. Crowley will be part of a Player event in Palm Springs. You can find out more information about it at the band’s Web site: player-theband.com. Crowley was one of the original songwriters for the band.  Further information is at: www.dennislambertmusic.com

On Saturday, August 22, at 5 p.m. Peter Beckett, the band's singer will be appearing at The Silent Movie Theater located at 611 North Fairfax Avenue in L.A. with Dennis Lambert for Don’t Knock the Rock Festival. The event is for Dennis Lambert's documentary screening his son made about his father's history as a songwriter and producer of many great bands.

After the initial screening, there will be a Q&A with Dennis Lambert and some very special guests including songwriter/producer Brian Potter from The Four Tops, record executive Steve Barri of ABC/Dunhill Records, songwriter Franne Golde, co-writer of “Nightshift” and “Don’t Look Any Further" and Peter Beckett of Player.

The cost for the event is $10.00 per person and you can purchase tickets at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/72297.
