IRELAND— I lived in a home where my father physically and mentally abused my mother and mentally tortured me. I want to trace the very special lady who saved me from the brink of suicide many years ago.
LOS ANGELES—Of the 359 homeowners in my area, 112 are blatantly running afoul of the by committing the heinous "fence offence"; the limit on front yard fences and hedge height.
CALIFORNIA— Arnold Schwarzenegger has taken so much money from corporations that it blurs together. The $66,300 he took from Pleasant Care Corporation nursing homes should be returned.
VARIOUS—Recently, Congressman David Dreier supported a bill which urges
Mexico to work with its Supreme Court to renegotiate their extradition treaty and to bring cop killers to justice.
VARIOUS— I guess I could take Mr. Tabor's allegations about PETA more seriously if the criticisms were emanating from a man who was truly committed to alleviating animal suffering.
VARIOUS—I oppose drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and believe destroying this last bastion of wilderness is not the appropriate way to go about becoming more energy independent.
VARIOUS—On April 7, Governor Schwarzenegger admitted what everybody else could see - his pension initiative eliminated death and disability benefits for police officers and firefighters.
CANADA—March 29th the largest
commercial slaughter of marine mammals on the planet began off
Canada's
Atlantic coast. By the end of this year, more than 300,000 baby harp seals will
have been killed.
VARIOUS—Unless the closure of the
Marina Processing and

[P&DC] is stopped by April 15th, people who live in the 902,

a customer in a degrading and disrespectful manner and assumed that she was
loitering not waiting to meet friends.
VARIOUS— I recently read an article that states that after
reviewing the Governor's plan to reorganize the Youth and Adult Correctional Agency, the plan
would enable significant improvements.

is time for us to look out for our youth. It is easy for us to sit back and
give our opinions on what we think or believe happened concerning the Michael
Jackson case. We need to go further.
VARIOUS—Telling teachers that
their pay is largely based on their students' academic achievement is like
telling chefs that they get paid only if their customers clean all their
plates.
VARIOUS—"If the
"Swift Boat Veterans" campaign is any gauge, the plan to
torpedo AARP will be marked by outrageous statements, ridiculous
generalizations, character assassination, and lies."
VARIOUS—In response to Allen
Greenspan's testimony (before the President's Advisory Panel on Federal Tax
Reform), a consumption tax would be a good alternative to the current income
tax system.
VARIOUS—The decision by the
six council members not to let the voters decide on a new sales tax to employ
new police was wrong and disheartening. This shows their lack of trust in the
voters decision.
CALIFORNIA—Arnold
Schwarzenegger is correct calling Registered Nurses a "special
interest" group. These darn nurses are constantly fighting for their
special interests, their patients.
