Police Pursuit In Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS – Police arrested a driver in a gray Toyota 4-runner Wednesday night after he was suspected of car theft and robbery.

CBS reports that the chase began at 5:17 p.m. and ended at 5:40 p.m. in Sherman Oaks. The driver drove south on the 405 freeway, through Hubbard Street and Fenton Valley, ending at Irwin and Woodman Avenues.

Police suspected the driver of stealing the SUV and believe it was used in numerous robberies.

The suspect was apprehended and arrested by the Los Angeles Police department. He was tackled after exiting from the SUV while trying to escape on foot.

The police department could not release the name of the suspect and did not have any new updates on the situation.
