WEST HOLLYWOOD—The fifth annual Sunset Strip Musical Festival is almost here! Join hundreds of rock fans as they flood Sunset Boulevard for a weekend of smashing bands and head banging singers! The party starts on Thursday August 16, at 7 p.m. with a VIP event honoring the legacy of THE DOORS; an invitation only affair at the House of Blues.

The first day of the festival includes music from Peter Murphy playing at the Roxy Theatre, Quiet Riot, and Jack Russell’s Great White featuring Faster Pussycat, also performing Bullet Boys, Future Villains, Lady Sinatra, and The Black Marquee.

On Friday, August 17, singers Robby Krieger and Rich Robinson will perform the album “Los Angeles” with special guest Ray Manzarek, R2A, Hank III, Mickey Avalon, James Ingram, and Teddy Campbell Band.

Saturday is the highlight of the festival as the city closes off the 9000-8900 blocks of Sunset Boulevard between Doheny Drive and San Vicente Boulevard making room for all the rock fans of Southern California. Performing on stage will be Marilyn Manson, The Offspring, Steve Aoki, Bad Religion, Black Label Society, Far East Movement, De La Soul, T. Mills, and The Mowgli’s. Dead Sara, a band originating from Los Angeles, will also be performing on August 18th on the main stage.

The festival will be rocking all weekend with nearby restaurants and stores having specials and promotions for the event. Isla Cantina will have discounted drinks and foods the entirety of the three day event, and Tattoo Mania will offer specials on piercings and tattoos.

General admission tickets start at $75 and Street Festival VIP tickets are $135; these include entrance to VIP areas at the rooftop lounge, beer garden, and venues. The 3-Day VIP pass is $250 with access to the tribute event on Thursday. For tickets call 1.866.777.8932 or go to sunsetstripmusicfestival.com.
