WEST HOLLYWOOD—Original Americana blues-alt-rockers Delta Rae celebrate their June 19 debut album “Carry the Fire” release with a week of shows and appearances in L.A.
Delta Rae sold out the Troubadour June 19.
On Tuesday, June 19, the Durham, NC-based Delta Rae released their debut album “Carry the Fire” worldwide. The highly anticipated album was premiered exclusively on the Rolling Stone website where it is available for streaming in its entirety.
Later that night, the group celebrated the release of its album with a sold out headlining show on Santa Monica Boulevard’s legendary Troubadour stage in West Hollywood. The band arrived in Los Angeles on Monday, June 18, to perform as the musical guest for the Grammy Museum’s “Icons of the Music Industry” special event with Seymour Stein, where their unique sound left the house breathless.
In late April, Delta Rae caught the attention of the national music press when they were signed to Warner Bros. Records by legendary A&R man Seymour Stein. Stein is the same man who, as a founder of Sire Records, was responsible for the careers of such artists as Madonna, Talking Heads and The Ramones. The signing was Stein’s first in quite a while, and as such, the move made the entire music industry take notice. The much buzzed-about band recently participated in Billboard's "Under Cover" program where they covered Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" and played their own single, "Bottom Of The River," which they'll be performing on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Monday, June 25.

Delta Rae is a six member band, made up of four (yes, four) lead singers, with three of the members being siblings. The band's genre-bending sound is rooted in its hypnotizing four-part boy/girl harmonies that grab the listener and don’t let go. They members have created their own Southern influenced version of Americana that runs deep in passion, heart and soul. After several impressive plays at this years all-important SXSW Music fest held every March in Austin, TX, the group already boasts a successful headline US run with numerous sold out shows. They will be headlining Bowery Ballroom in NYC July 17th and will be on the road in North America all summer long, in support of the album.
