LOS ANGELES—Wednesday, March 13 marks the beginning of Taylor Swift’s much anticipated Red Tour, with English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran as her opening act.

Swift will be beginning her six-month-long tour at Century Center in Omaha, Nebraska on March 13th and will hit a total of 28 U.S. states as well as several cities in Canada.

“I like for it to be as big as possible,” Swift has said of her tour. “If we can make a show that dazzles people more than the last tour, then I'll have done my job the right way.” It has already proven to be bigger than anyone could have anticipated, with all of Swift’s shows having been sold out within hours of tickets going on sale.

The singer’s album, Red, sold 1.2 million copies worldwide within its first week of release and has had several songs that topped iTunes top 100 list, including “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

Swift will be performing these songs and more all across the U.S. and Canada and will be hitting Los Angeles’ Staples center for a total of four shows on August 19th & 20th as well as August 23rd & 24th. She will end her tour in her hometown of Nashville, Tennessee in September 2013.
