Garth Brooks To Play Benefit Shows For Fire Victims

LOS ANGELES—Country music fans in
California will be getting a pleasant surprise in January. Garth Brooks has agreed to play benefit shows in order to help raise money for victims of the recent wildfires. Tickets for the five-performance event went on sale at 9 am PST on December 1, and sold out in an hour.

Rapper Pimp C’ Found Dead in Hollywood Hotel

Rapper Chad Butler, better known by many in the music industry as 'Pimp C' was found dead Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in his room at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood. The cause of his death is still being investigated, but it appears that Butler may have died from natural causes. He was at the hotel working on an upcoming solo album. Many know him as one-half of the the group UGK, which had their first #1 album this summer. Chad Butler was 33.

In it’s first day Blackout sold over 124,000 units which is twice that of
her nearest competitor, Carrie Underwood who sold 49,000.

HOLLYWOOD BOWL—The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra brought Mahler's Second Symphony, "Resurrection" to life for a second time last Thursday evening as part the Bowl's United Classical Thursdays. Mahler's symphonic drama of life, death, and resurrection, however, played a back-seat to the Bowl's newly designed sound system and visual accompaniment.
