UNITED STATES—Amazon plans to expand its experiment of delivering fresh groceries to businesses and more markets through its program Amazon Fresh.
The program was launched in Seattle in 2007, offering overnight home delivery of meats, fresh products, and other groceries. According to anonymous sources, Amazon is planning to expand the service to Los Angeles and San Francisco later this year and 20 other new markets in 2014.
The expansion will depend on how well business goes in the Los Angeles and San Francisco markets
With rapid increasing business, Amazon’s stock raised 220% in the past five years. To keep this rate going up, Amazon is exploring a bigger market. Last year, national grocery sales totaled up to $568 billion.
