KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Late on Tuesday night the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department was still desperately searching for a beautiful 10-month-old baby girl named Lisa Irwin, who was reportedly snatched from her baby crib on Monday evening. Lisa’s mother stated that she last saw her daughter around 10:30 p.m. when she put the baby in her crib for the night. At 4 a.m. the child’s father came in from work and found the baby missing. The couple called police immediately.
Authorities on Tuesday continued to canvas and search nearby woods in the suburban neighborhood around the family’s home. An Amber Alert was issued soon after the child was reported missing by her parents. Police believe the alleged kidnapper may have gained entry into the home by a window in the baby’s nursery. Signs of tampering around one of the windows was reportedly found by the authorities.
The FBI has been called in on this case, because authorities fear the kidnapper may have already crossed state lines. Lisa has blue eyes, blond hair, is 30 inches tall and weighs between 26 and 30 pounds. The child was last seen wearing a purple shirt and shorts with white kittens on them. The baby has two bottom teeth and a birth mark on her right thigh. Her parents reported that she has a cold and a cough as well.

Authorities issued the Amber Alert pretty quickly, since this is obvious to them not a parental kidnapping as most child kidnappings are. Both parents reported her missing immediately. Officer Darin Snapp said, “This is very frustrating. We are hoping that someone calls with information about her.”
If anyone has information about baby Lisa’s whereabouts or any information about the kidnappers, please contact the Kansas City Police Department at 816-474-8477.
