BEVERLY HILLS—This week in Hollywoodland, “Boardwalk Empire” debuts the second episode in the second season, and it’s going to be just as exciting as last week’s episode. Daniel Dae Kim is really shining in this season’s CBS series “Hawaii Five-O,” “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” chef Bernie speaks exclusively to me, Ashton Kutcher is denying his marriage to Demi Moore is over and a lot more news in entertainment this week.
An All New Boardwalk Empire On Sunday Night
As Sunday night’s episode of “Boardwalk Empire” titled “Ourselves Alone” gets underway, viewers can expect a lot of exciting drama, and a major twist for Nucky and his criminal entourage. Concerned about losing his grip on Atlantic City, Nucky (Steve Buscemi) deliberates a countermove while trying to learn who in his inner circle betrayed him. As agents scour the Treasurer’s office for incriminating evidence, Margaret (Kelly Macdonald) strikes a pose from the past to help Nucky avoid further trouble in the present. This season don’t expect Margaret to just be a spectator, she’s going to find herself deeply involved in Nucky’s criminal enterprise.
In New York, Arnold Rothstein (Michael Stuhlbarg) puts Jimmy (Michael Pitt) on hold, but Meyer Lansky (Anatol Yusef) and Lucky Luciano (Vincent Piazza) loom as possible trading partners. Chalky (Michael Kenneth Williams) is badgered in prison by Dunn Purnsley (Erik LaRay Harvey), a jailmate with an ax to grind; Owen Sleater (Ted Rooney), an advance man for Irish nationalist John McGarrigle (Ted Rooney), scouts the Thompson residence and the Commodore (Dabney Coleman) introduces Eli (Shea Whigham) to “the men who made this city.”
“Ourselves Alone” was written by Howard Korder and directed by David Petrarca. Created by Terence Winter, “Boardwalk Empire” is executive produced by Terence Winter, Martin Scorsese, Tim Van Patten, Stephen Levinson and Mark Wahlberg; co-executive produced by Gene Kelly and Howard Korder; produced by Joseph Iberti and Rick Yorn.
“Boardwalk” airs exclusively on HBO at 9 p.m. on Sunday night.
Daniel Dae Kim Is Hawaii Five-O's Breakout Star This Season
Actor Daniel Dae Kim is doing an amazing job in the role of Chin Ho in the series “Hawaii Five-O” on CBS. This year Kim’s the breakout star of the season, and the highly emotional scenes he’s been portraying is reminiscent of his ABC “Lost” days, where he portrayed Jin Kwon, battling to get off that darn island along with his wife and other castaways.
Daniel is definitely a major star who is destined for greater things in Hollywood. He’s also a distinguished stage actor, and is preparing to film a second TV series, “The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra.”
Ashton Kutcher has said several times on Twitter, “Don’t Believe the Hype.” This is in response to various media reports and tabloid reports that Ashton (“Two And a Half Men”) star and his movie star wife Demi Moore are headed for divorce court. Speculation about Ashton and an alleged affair with a woman he supposedly met at a San Diego nightclub was followed by a Twitter comment from his beautiful wife Demi. She said, “When we are offended at any man’s fault, turn to yourself & study your own failings. Then you will forget your anger.” This cryptic message went around the world, and then Ashton responded to the media speculation by tweeting the following, “When you ASSUME to know that which you know nothing of, you make an ASS out of U and ME.”
Ashton and Demi’s public relations representatives have all said, “no comment” in response to requests for verification of the alleged split. That being said, Ashton spent the couple’s latest wedding anniversary with his buddies in Las Vegas instead of with his wife who was in New York City promoting her latest film “Bunraku,” starring Josh Hartnett and Woody Harrelson. Moore has two more films to be released this year.
Real Beverly Hills' Chef Bernie Guzman and Phyllis Diller
My friend Bernie Guzman is the professional chef for “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” beauty Adrienne Maloof. The two have such amazing chemistry on screen, and Bernie only says wonderful things about his stunning employer. Hopefully I’ll get some exclusive scoop from my pal Adrienne in the future about her BRAVO Channel series, but this week I caught up with Bernie, who had plenty to say about the TV show he is currently starring in. Bernie seems to hit it off with almost everyone on the show. “I get along with just about everyone. Well, except one person,” said the celebrity chef. Everyone seems to have the same nemesis on the show. Here’s a hint! His gorgeous wife is beloved by us all! When asked if he would consider his own series on television, Guzman said, “I have never thought about having my own cooking show. I just want to make a difference in the lives of my clients, and that’s my goal,” said Bernie.
Bernie is considered a lifesaver not only because he’s one of the most gracious men in Tinseltown, but also because he makes healthy meals in every home he’s employed in. He incorporates anyone’s cultural dishes with healthy living. “I just want to be the (kitchen) hero, that’s all,” concluded celebrity chef Bernie Guzman.
Let me know what questions you’d like me to ask Adrienne, and I’ll try to get some secrets out of her and more secrets from her handsome chef for readers.
Look for breaking news on “All My Children’s” actress Debbi Morgan, who joins “The Young and the Restless” this week, from Michael Logan with TV Guide on Monday morning at www.tvguide.com/soap-operas. Michael never fails to get the exclusive details of breaking soap news.
Have a great weekend, see you next week! XOXO
