Where's Lisa?

Where's Lisa? That's the question on the minds of thousands of fans of the long running hit drama "As The World Turns." Lisa is the character played by the divine Miss Eileen Fulton.
Where's Eileen is an even harder question to answer. Where's isn't Eileen is a better question. She will be performining at the famed elegant club "Feinstein's at the Regency," one of NYC's most elegant clubs. And it will be very elegant during April where the diva performs her sensational cabaret act. Check her official website for details. Eileen is one of the hardest working women in television and stage. She is tireless. For those who are unlucky enough to miss her on stage or at one of her singing venues, let me suggest you purchase her latest CD titled, "Eileen Fulton: Along for the Ride." There's even a wonderful duet on this CD with her longtime costar and one time on air husband Mr. Don Hastings." This is a wonderful gift for Mother's Day. The songs are so nostalgic, the singer so sublime and with her sexy and sensual twist on several old standards. Leave it to Eileen never to be dull. You can purchase her CD at www.amazon.com
I recently had the opportunity to interview Miss Fulton in her beautiful Manhattan apartment. She's really happy with her life, her dogs, yes, her beloved pooches are the most spoiled in all of New York City. I asked her what everyone wanted to know. Where's Lisa? "Well, I know the show is an ensemble and Chris (Goutman) has a lot of cast to work with. He's the best producer in televsion today. I have great faith in him, I know he'll find a place for Lisa when the time is right." Fans are not so patient. Before doing this column, I received over two hundred emails from her devoted fans. All wanting to know where Lisa is, why isn't she involved in some of the great storylines on the show. Eileen's the first to say, "The stories going on now are incredible. Jennifer Landon is doing a superb job and I'd love to work with her. I have been receiving so many letters and emails from fans who want to know where I am, that I decided to have a contest. The winner will be announced this year at "ATWT" fan luncheon. They can go to my website and email me their suggestion for a storyline for Lisa. I feel it's a way that I can let my fans' voices be heard and I also suggest they write the show and tell them what they think."
To voice your suggestion go to: www.eileenfulton.com. Be sure to think of some very original ideas. You know Lisa's had eight husbands. Many of the viewers who saw us on the screen together in my "Hollywood Classics" have suggested that I'd be great as a love interest for Lisa. Maybe she could kill me, well, after loving me of course and then she could go on trial for my murder, then her brilliant son Tom (played by Scott Holmes) could find me hiding in another town living off of his mom's millions, and well, he'd bring me back to town, Lisa would fall in love with me all over again and then I'd realize how lucky I was to have her and we could live happily ever after for the next six months. OK, it's not that original, but anytime I could be on screen with this lady, I'll take it every time. The winner of the contest will not only be announced at the show's 2007 luncheon but also will receive a gift basket from Eileen herself.
For those who keep writing me about your favorite actress, Eileen Fulton. I suggest you write to CBS and let Mr. Goutman know. He's open to ideas, which is what makes him so brilliant. The man is second to no other producer in daytime and rivals the talents of some of the best primetime shows on the air. "Daytime is lucky to have someone like Chris. He's so full of wonderful ideas. I just love being around him whether it's work or some social event. You feel his genius and you can tell he's got a lot on the ball. I do hope to be back on the show a lot more not only because I miss many of my friends but because the fans have been so supportive and they love Lisa so much and I love them."
Eileen's a very busy working entertainer but she's so missed on "ATWT" and we hope that she'll return soon. Write to her and Mr. Goutman, Executive Producer at (ATWT, 1268 East 14th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11230)
