"Bill W and Dr. Bob" is still running at the wonderful Theater - 68 Cent Crew in Hollywood. This play has won raves from almost everyone in the entertainment press and is well deserved. My friend Ronnie Marmoe directs this play and he's doing an excellent job. Here are some of the critics' words about this sensational play. "An often moving revival," says the LA Times. "The audience gets an engaging historical tour of the conception of AA," says LaBrea Living. And further raves from Variety Magazine and even the Boston Globe. This play is making it's fourth run and has no signs of stopping. The play runs from March 16th through June 10th. If you are in the city or planning a trip to LA, I suggest you go see this play.
Theatre 68 is located at: 5419 Sunset Blvd., just east of Western in Hollywood. You can get tickets by calling the box office at: 323-960-7827 or by going to their official website for tickets and times: www.68centcrew.com
Well, we have news for you! The Daytime Emmy Nominations were annonced on Wednesday and here are some of the highlights in nominations. And of course my opinion on the various categories.
Best Show: "The Bold & the Beautiful," "Guiding Light," "One Life to Live" and "The Young & the Restless." Well, "As the World Turns" should have been nominated in this category but "The Young & the Restless" should win. Best Lead Actress: Maura West "ATWT", Crystal Chappell, "GL," Jeanne Cooper "Y&R" and Michelle Stafford, "Y&R." Michelle had a great year, but wouldn't it be great if the extraordinary veteran thespian Jeanne Cooper pulled it off? Best Lead Actor: Michael Park "ATWT," Anthony Geary, "GH," Ricky Paull Goldin, "GL," Peter Bergman, "Y&R" and the sensational Christian Leblanc, "Y&R." Christian, this is your year, hopefully. Some of the stand outs in Supporting categories are: Leslie Kay, "B&B," Greg Rikaart, "Y&R" and of course King Kristoff St. John "Y&R." I'm torn, I think Kristoff had a great year, Greg should win, and hands down for Leslie Kay. The others in their categories, please. No comment. I think Christy Dooly had a great year as Casting Director for "B&B", but Mark Teshner reins supreme again, in my opinion. What a man! Give Bob Barker best talk show host, it's his last year on "The Price is Right" and he's great with the audience and contestants. If CBS is still looking for a replacement for Mr. Barker, go right across the hall and snatch up Doug Davidson, "Y&R's Paul Williams." No one has his wit and charm and not to mention his good looks.
