King Of Louisiana Bill Compton
|
BEVERLY HILLS—This week in Hollywoodland, Truebies are anxious to see Bill’s confrontation with Eric over Sookie Stackhouse. Bill became the King of Louisiana by killing Queen Sophie Anne last season, but trouble is just beginning for the newly crowned monarch, and witch Marnie’s going to become a handful this season, while Jason has a life altering experience this weekend that changes him forever. Project Save Our Surf gears up for a big fall blowout and Hollywood mourns the loss of a great man, mentor and acting legend, David Legrant.
As Sunday night arrives, “True Blood’s” next installment is titled “I Wish I Was the Moon.” Things in Bon Temps have been hot and exciting for the past month, but they only get more exciting this weekend, as King Bill Compton of Louisiana brings Eric down to surrender to his will. Bill’s always been a politically savvy man, but this week his rage and jealousy over Eric and Sookie’s budding romance may get the better of him, or even Eric for that matter. His fight against Marnie and her coven of witches, who are learning the art of necromancy, is about to heat up, and look for dire results on Sunday night in the beginning of this war between witches and vampires.
Sookie also searches for Jason under a full moon, but Jason’s about to meet destiny and his first full moon after being made a were-panther will have serious consequences, to say the very least. Arlene and Terry, along with their kids, have to cope with the consequences of a very suspicious inferno. Debbie urges an unwilling Alcide to join a new werewolf community. Alcide’s trying his best to stay out of danger and away from trouble, but expect Debbie to drag him down along with herself. The new pack master in Shreveport is going to cause a great deal of pain and suffering for a while to come.
Tommy trades places with Sam, and he an unlikely experience, while Lafayette has a shocking awakening when he feels the spirit within him in Mexico. Jesus may regret bringing Lafayette to his home to meet his grandpa!
“I Wish I Was the Moon” was written by Raelle Tucker, and Jeremy Podeswa directed this exciting episode. The show was created by Alan Ball based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels by Charlaine Harris.

David Legrant, one of Hollywood’s most influential, gracious and most talented acting coaches died this week at the age of 87.
A former actor and comic who studied under Lee Strasberg at the legendary Actors Studio in New York, Legrant also influenced the careers of Carol Burnett, Danny Glover, Sara Gilbert and Constance Towers, among many others. After returning to Los Angeles from New York, he ran David Legrant’s Studio for Acting in Studio City starting in the late 1970s before retiring in March of last year. David Legrant considered himself to be gentle but demanding.
One of his famous students over the past three decades included Beverly Hills socialite and film star Constance Towers, who portrays Helena Cassadine on ABC’s “General Hospital.” Towers is married to businessman and former Ambassador to Mexico John Gavin. Towers tells Canyon News, “I managed to get there Wednesday to see him and kiss him goodbye, Tommy. He coached me on every project I did for forty years. Another grateful, loving student of David’s is Tobey Maguire. Tobey would send a limousine for David to bring him to [Universal] studios to watch the filming of ‘Spider Man’ and then asked for his advice. He valued David’s brilliance like I did. Bernadette Peters would fly out to L.A. from NYC just to work with David on a new stage or film project. David was married to Barbara Cook and then divorced. She says he should have been one of Broadway’s most revered directors but life brought him to California where he became a driving force in many young actors’ lives. He coached me all through the years as Helena. I am going to miss him, his genius and most of all his friendship. He was unique.”
Legrant is survived by his sons Jacob and Adam.
Have a great weekend, see you next week! XOXO
