BEVERLY HILLS—This week in Hollywood has everyone taking a second look at things.
Actress Victoria Principal allegedly got into an altercation with a former housekeeper and reportedly pulled a gun on the fired worker and demanded that she leave the property. The standoff that was chatter around the holiday season in Hollywood didn’t face any charges at the time. But the “Dallas” star has been sued by her former housekeeper and the housekeeper countersued by Principal. Of all the potential suspects on "Dallas" who were questioned for shooting J.R. Pam was surely not on my short list.
Hugh Jackman has risen to the top of the Box Office with “Wolverine,” but the actor still manages to be the most down to earth star in the business. Jackman is lobbying Twentieth Century Fox to have a premiere opening of his film in Mexico City in June, feeling he let his Mexican fans down by not being able to appear during the swine flu epidemic recently. Jackman loves his fans and is known to hang out at restaurants for hours while signing autographs for fans and anyone else who wants to meet him.
My friend Calista Flockhart is officially engaged to the man of her dreams, actor Harrison Ford. The ultra private couple who have been together for many years leaked the news to Entertainment Tonight this week that they will be tying the knot. Friends of the actress say that she wants a very private and intimate wedding.
Hollywood Hills residents who live near socialite Paris Hilton reported to LAPD scratches and other forms of vandalism on their vehicles on Tuesday morning, right after a big splash that Hilton threw. Paris last year moved from famed Kings Road in order to give her neighbors some peace and quiet after her infamous incarceration. Now new neighbors are hoping Paris’s bags are packed and she’ll put her new Hollywood Hills home on the market.
And if you thought Hollywood Hills was really a quiet area. Police arrived at Lindsay Lohan’s home there in the district hours later when a security alert was received by the LAPD that someone had entered the home of Lohan. When police arrived, they found what they believed the house to be ransacked. In fact, the house was already in that condition.
Happy Birthday to Harvey Keitel who turned 70 on Wednesday. The actor is busy filming a film “Wrong Turn at Tahoe,” and by all accounts had a quiet celebration. Harvey, Hollywood Hills residents thank you!
