Sunday night’s exciting episode of “Boardwalk Empire” titled “Gershwin & Bunkum” is going to be a game changer for our favorite characters who inhabit Atlantic City 1921.
After paying lip service to his enemies, Nucky introduces a surprise guest speaker at a Memorial Day dedication for war veterans. And like all announcements by the crooked political magnate that runs Atlantic City, you know it’s going to be a big one!
Also, with his options dwindling, Eli questions his allegiances, but ends up digging himself a deeper hole. And it’s a surprise viewers won’t see coming! Nucky gets a new lawyer just in time to head off an even bigger legal disaster.
Jimmy is taught a painful lesson by a Commodore crony. Viewers and Nucky believe that our favorite scion has this coming. Richard goes hunting deep in the forest. However, it’s not for what or who you think it will be. “Boardwalk Empire” is really exciting this season, and although it did not sweep this year’s Emmy Awards, there is no doubt that it will most likely do so next year.
“Gershwin & Bunkum” is written by Howard Korder and directed by the great Tim Van Patten. “Boardwalk Empire” airs at 9 p.m. on Sundays exclusively on HBO.

What a week for “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Handsome three-time Emmy Award winner, Bel Air’s Bradley P. Bell has a lot of news for readers. Emmy Award-winning writer Michele Val Jean has joined the writing team of “B&B,” Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley P. Bell announced on Thursday. “I am pleased to announce that Michele Val Jean will be joining our writing team,” said Bell. “With her vast wealth of knowledge, experience, and creativity, Michele is sure to be a significant addition to “The Bold and the Beautiful.”
Val Jean has worked on the writing team of ABC’s “General Hospital” for the past 18 years. Prior to “GH,” she wrote for “Santa Barbara,” as well as for “Generations” and the prime time series “Jake and the Fatman.” This adds to an already overly talented team of writers and crew on “B&B,” headed by Brad.
“B&B’s” Kristolyn Lloyd takes to the stage again in the production of “Tarantino For The Record,” a compilation of Quentin Tarantino’s best movies re-enacted in a musical form. Lloyd’s appearance will run from October 23 through November 12 at the Show at Barre theater in the Los Angeles community of Los Feliz. For tickets, please visit www.showatbarre.com. Enter QUENTIN for a discounted price.
Jack Wagner will perform on the Annual Rick Springfield Cruise November 5 through 10. The cruise travels from Miami to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and Grand Cayman. Prices start at $989 per person plus fee for port taxes, government fees, prepaid gratuities and security charges. For more information visit: http://www.rickspringfieldcruise.com.
Plus, Jack would like to thank everyone who supported his charity event a couple weeks ago, at the LA LLS Light the Night on October 2. “B&B” cast members Hunter Tylo, Zack Conroy, Texas Battle, Aaron D. Spears and Adam Gregory joined Jack on the walk, which raised $579,000 to help battle leukemia and lymphoma. Visit http://pages.lightthenight.org/los/UCLA11/WagnerWorldmpyto find out more.
And if you missed NBC’s “Today Show’” annual Halloween costume special last week. You still have some time to find that special disguise for next weekend’s Halloween bashes around West Hollywood, Santa Monica and Studio City, not to mention all over the country. Take a look at “Today’s” exclusive story on the subject. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/44988420/ns/today-today_halloween_guide/t/angry-birds-black-swan-fly-high-halloween-faves/.

Daniel Craig Preparing For Bond Sequel

Singer Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon showed their beautiful twins off to Barbara Walters on Friday night’s “20/20” on ABC. Moroccan and Monroe Cannon are going to be raised in New York, “outside of New York City,” said Carey. “Not too far in the suburbs, but definitely we will be raising them here, where it is more authentic.” Is Mariah saying something about Southern California?
Lindsay Lohan was back in court on Wednesday, as I predicted last week in Hollywoodland. It’s sad to see such a talented and one time beautiful actress simply devolve into the state that Barbara Payton did just a half century ago.
Also, don’t miss “Dexter” on Showtime at 9 p.m. on Sunday night. Titled “A Horse of a Different Color,” Dexter finds more challenges this season, but when he goes up against a diabolical religious man, look for an apocalyptic storyline to be told.
Lastly, actor Daniel Craig, who was amazing in “Cowboys & Aliens” last summer, is now preparing for his next James Bond film, tentatively billed as “23.” He can also be seen in theaters now in “Dream House” and later this year in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.”
And I’ve been cast in a role in another film comedy, this one starring “Titanic” actress Frances Fisher. It’s definitely a hilarious flick about the changes in midlife. No, not mine. I’m not that old yet. But getting there. Can’t say much about it right now, but more in the near future.
Next week is Halloween. I’d love to hear how you are all celebrating it!
Have a great weekend, see you next week! XOXO
