The Tower Of Talent
Posted by Tommy Garrett on Jul 8, 2007 - 3:42:00 PM

Last week's episode of USA's "4400" starring Constance Towers was a hit.   Fans and critics are raving about the work Miss Towers was able to convey in her role as Audrey Parker.   The hit show has become a cult classic with viewers.   A longtime fan and friend of Towers' told me about the episode, "The character was vulnerable but strong, intelligent, worldly wise, determined but gracious,  always a lady......  Connie  nailed every aspect of this character and portrayed her brilliantly."

TV Guide Critic Michael Logan penned, "Connie plays Audrey Parker, an arthritic, morphine-shooting, Internet-blogging librarian with startling superpower: Her soul leaves her body and can astral-project anywhere. It’s a terrific performance, tough and touching, from an actress who never fails to surprise."

For Towers fans who happen to be in New Mexico or will be attending the Santa Fe New Mexico Film Festival, the actress will be at the event doing a question and answer session regarding her two cult classics - the Samuel Fuller films, "Shock Corridor" and "Naked Kiss."  Dates for her events are July 14 and 15.   Look for the new DVD version of these films to include a never seen before commentary from the star about working on each film with Fuller and her costars.   Re release is slated for late Summer 2007.

Look for an upcoming interview with Constance Towers in ABC Soaps In Depth later this month.

Happy Belated Birthday to Eva Marie Saint.  She's still as lovely as she was on the movie screen.
