'True Blood' Preview Of 'Run' In Hollywoodland

Sookie And Eric Are In Mortal Danger Of Marnie
BEVERLY HILLS—This week in Hollywoodland, there was a lot of attention paid to Kim Kardashian’s wedding plans for today, but Sunday belongs to “True Blood” viewers, as the episode titled “Run” (“Let’s Get Out of Here”) puts us one episode closer to next month’s season four finale titled “And When I am Dead.” Last week’s Bon Temps Cemetery bloodbath left Truebies rooting for the vampires, but Sookie was the one who ended up in dire jeopardy, while Eric became a puppet of witch Marnie/Antonia. Also in entertainment news, I know who Sandra Bullock went camping with this week and also a shocking pronouncement from the reality stars of MTV’s “Jersey Shore.”

“True Blood’s” episode “Run” (“Let’s Get Out of Here”) airs tomorrow night on HBO at 9 p.m. Last week, King Bill Compton of Louisiana agreed to meet with the Wicca queen Marnie, who has now become possessed by the spirit of a 400-year-old witch named Antonia, who just happens to have the power of necromancy, which means she’s able to control the dead, including vampires. Sookie, a fairy, decided to fight alongside Eric and Bill and ended up receiving a bullet in her abdomen just after using her super powers to send a witch across the Bon Temps Cemetery with the light that comes through her hands. What a morbid place for Bill to meet the witches, viewers may have initially thought. Though it became apparent to Truebies that even though Bill came with the intention of making a truce, he planned also on getting Marnie/Antonia back under his control. That plan went awry and grew quickly out of control once Eric tore the heart out of one of the witches in the coven, which sent Marnie/Antonia into an outrage, raining spells down over the cemetery. Back to that in just a moment.

Jason also sent Jessica packing when she showed up desperately attracted to him and heartbroken after being uninvited by Hoyt, who wants no more to do with the baby vampire, who broke his heart after he’d chosen her over his own mother. Lafayette not only received a vision from the restless spirit that is haunting Arlene’s family, but she also jumped into his body, and he became possessed immediately by the spirit and went to the Bellefleur estate to kidnap Arlene’s baby while the entire household was asleep.

Tara was spared being killed by Pam when the King ordered her to never attack or harm Tara again. But during the bloodbath in the cemetery, Eric’s decision to murder a witch was the end of negotiations between Marnie/Antonia and Bill. However, maybe the true negotiations ended when Sookie read the witch’s mind and realized she was casting a spell on Bill instead? Whatever caused the breakdown between the parties, the shootout by the King’s human bodyguards landed Sookie lying on the ground bleeding to death. Werewolf Alcide, who had been ordered by his pack master Marcus and fiancé Debbie not to involve himself in the vampire/witch war managed to arrive in time to pick Sookie up and carry her lifeless body out of the cemetery, as viewers saw Debbie morph from werewolf back into human form, giving an engaging but deliriously envious look at Alcide saving Sookie yet again.

Marnie Created A Bloodbath In Bon Temps Last Week

On tomorrow night’s episode, as the massacre concludes, lives and loves will change forever in Bon Temps. Convalescing after her latest near death trauma, Sookie envisions a world where there’s room for both Bill and Eric. Then in a wild, passionate and very sensual vision, Sookie will become even more torn between the two vampires she has fallen head over heels in love with. Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) tries desperately to purge the restless spirit out of Lafayette before more damage to him is done, and before the spirit makes him do something that could have devastating consequences to Arlene and her baby.

Werewolf pack master Marcus enlists Alcide to help him deal with his situation with Sam and Luna, and it leads Alcide down a path he’s not certain about. If Bill thought his life would become easier after his coronation as the King of Louisiana, it’s about to become overwhelming for the 150-year-old vampire, when he and Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck) clash over their agendas. Bill’s agenda will be for the greater good, while Nan, a typical bureaucrat, cares about the political landscape post-Russell Edgington’s murder of a human on national television last summer.

Hoyt asks Jason to make a delivery to Jessica, and an uncertain Jason realizes he has to do the right thing by one of his friends. Will it be Jessica or Hoyt? And if viewers think the politics in the werewolf and vampire worlds have become very treacherous, the Wicca society is about to come all apart, because despite Tara (Rutina Wesley) and Holly’s misgivings, Marnie/Antonia filled with four centuries of rage and hatred of the undead continues to plot her next move against the vampires during the “Festival of Tolerance” event at Shreveport. This will lead to an “explosive” finale next week! The best finale ever for “True Blood.”

“Run” (“Let’s Get Out of Here”) was written by Brian Buckner and directed by Romeo Tirone. What you think occurred last week in Bon Temps Cemetery that left a fairy dying, witches killed and vampires in disarray won’t even compare to the drama on Sunday night. Alan Ball’s series is a must-see for all TV viewers.

Here is a sneak peek of three pivotal scenes in (“Let’s Get Out of Here”) to give you a hint of what to expect on the upcoming episode.

Exciting news! While Jesse James broke up with and then reunited with his tattooed reality TV star girlfriend Kat Von D, beautiful and talented Oscar-winning superstar Sandra Bullock and her cutie son Louie headed to Wyoming and went hiking and camping with “The Green Lantern.” No, it was really hunky superstar Ryan Reynolds, who played the green super hero in the hit film of the same name this summer. Is this proof or what that class ultimately wins out? Good for you, Sandy!

And despite their desire for attention, I have nothing to say about the cast members from “The Jersey Shore,” all proclaiming last week that they have the desire to become serious actors. Who thought they were not serious all of this time? Enough said!

Have a great weekend, see you next week! XOXO
