Everything is Coming up Grenier

Adrian Grenier's sensational documentary aired for the first time on Sunday, June 3 on HBO. I was very fascinated to see how such a well rounded and grounded young man with so much talent was able to succeed despite having his father walk out of his life as an infant. I have had two stalkers in my life, both maniacs were abandoned by their parents. I guess having the best dad in the world makes me wonder how people who do not have the experience of loving parents are able to make it in this tough world. I can honestly say that the two, who have been obsessed with me and still are, haven't succeeded in life, but only survived and made other's lives miserable, including their own.

Adrian however, did have a loving mother who is both caring and sane. This guy is the most talented fellow who has hit this town since Tom Selleck in the eighties. His documentary "A Shot in the Dark" was not hard to watch or understand. Most of the time the technical work on these small budget documentaries leaves much to be desired. Grenier and his crew were tops. Hopefully when Primetime Emmy nominations are announced in the summer, this guy and his crew will receive their share of nominations. His father was also a great team player. Only a real man stands up and admits that he made a mistake while so many today simply blame others for the issues they caused in their own childrens' lives. I was heartbroken watching some of the takes and very proud that Adrian proves that some people can succeed despite not having that very crucial relationship with both parents. I am blessed to have two wonderful parents.
The documentary left me with more questions than answers, but isn't that the point of it? To make the viewer think. Grenier also has the season premiere of his HBO hit show "Entourage" back on Sunday, June 17 just in time for the viewers to find out what transpires in Vinnie's life and his entourage when they all head to Columbia in South America to make their dream movie. Mark Wahlberg who is creator and executive producer of "Entourage" is so sharp. His drama has really taken off. For those not in the business, but dying to know what it's really like, watch "Entourage" Sunday nights at 10 PM on HBO.
Adrian also has been touring with his band since being on hiatus and working on his documentary. I rate his work an A+ for being the newest hottest guy in the business, but also one of the nicest and most charming.

Remember Christopher Atkins of "The Blue Lagoon" in 1980, which made Christopher and Brooke Shields stars? Christopher is busy doing other projects and also running his own business. He's become as talented behind the camera as he is in front of it. Check out his website at: www.christopheratkins.com which is run by a dear friend and fan of his, Rene' Thurston. I ran into her recently and she couldn't say enough good things about her boss and friend. "He's the kindest most generous man in Hollywood." Rene' has run the website and Christopher's fan club for over a decade. She is amazed how many thousands of fans he still has. She added, "And we all know he's still going to become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood." I could not agree with her more. He's certainly one of the most talented and nicest, that's for sure.
As Rene' points out, fans still buy his authentically signed photographs and other memorabilia from his official site every day. Christopher will be doing an interview with me in the next weeks. Be sure to be on alert for the upcoming feature.
