Bipartisanship, It's Not The Problem, It's The Solution

Americans are rightly worried about the U.S. and global economy in decline, but Americans should also be worried about Pakistan, an Islamic country with nuclear warheads at its disposal while also becoming a failing state. Just a decade ago it seemed as though the only real worries America faced in the region were Afghanistan and the rise of the Taliban, who was the benefactor of Osama Bin Laden. Now, the regime known as the Taliban, which was founded in Pakistan, is back with a rise in power over the Pakistani government and the nation is being split in various sectors by the terrorists in different regions that seem to want to exert their power over the central government, which is failing the people of Pakistan.
Real worries are ahead for the current administration in a part of the world that is desperate for change. But there are still good things in the wake of this possible disaster. Change. Because we’ve basically spent a half a century with the same policies in this region of the world with no real positive outcome, this is an opportunity for us to cause positive change in the area. But do not believe that is by weakening our military presence in this part of the world. It can be changed by using the military, but also soft power, as Secretary Gates tried to tell the previous administration to no avail. Now it’s time to listen to the people who have actual boots on the ground in this part of the world about what America can do to make a difference, and ultimately, what can be done to make America and the rest of the world a safer place.
With the Democratic party taking aim at Rush Limbaugh, who is dying for attention and feels vindicated and elevated by being attacked and made to look more important than he is, Americans are saying "What about real issues?" This is not the time to forget the important issues Americans put this president in power for. That doesn’t mean that everything he wants should be granted. His possible overhaul of the U.S. health care system could turn out to be a disaster. Turning America’s free enterprise system into socialism would be the biggest mistake we’ve made in a century. But, there is a way to defeat it. Come up with a better plan than the last administration’s policy and take it to the American people. Now it’s time to turn a page on the politics of personal destruction, which is why the change in power structure was so catastrophic last November. Americans are sick of petty partisan bickering and want to see things happen in the nation’s Capitol that make a difference in the lives of everyday ordinary citizens.
The moral of this narrative is that no one side has all the right answers. But, no side is always wrong either. Bipartisanship is the way to solve what ills America and the world. Remember, We The People. And please remember our Troops every day, who fight for all of the freedoms we take for granted. They pay the ultimate price every day for our nation's, and the world’s, security.
