HOLLYWOOD—It was a night to remember on August 6 when Johnny Depp joined in to rock out with Aerosmith during the band’s performance at the Hollywood Bowl. The Hollywood actor plays guitar on the band’s upcoming album “Music from Another Dimension,” and he joined them for a special performance. Steven Tyler, introduced the star to the stage, telling the crowd, “I need a little help up here. Johnny Depp, are you in the house?”
He then took the stage and played guitar on the track “Train Kept A-Rollin,” for the enthusiastic crowd which included Tyler’s actress daughter Liv and actor/funnyman Jim Carrey. According to the New York Post, the after party took place at the Mexican restaurant Pink Taco on the Sunset Strip, which included Depp along with other famous faces such as Alice Cooper and Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul. Aerosmith has been around for decades and has a loyal following.
From Hollywood to Lisbon, teen idol Justin Bieber is set to play at the Atlantico Pavilhao Multiusos de Lisboa on March 11, 2013. Bieber is the third most powerful celebrity in the world and was named by Forbes earning an estimated $55 million in the previous 12 months. Bieber has sold 15 million albums as of May 2012 and along with Taylor Swift won top honors at the Teen Choice Awards last month on July 22.
Bieber is not the only celebrity that loves Portugal. Axl Rose, frontman of Guns N’ Roses, Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry, and superstar soccer player, Cristiano Ronaldo, are just a few that love to enjoy the country. Ronaldo was spotted driving a black Ferrari just a few weeks ago on a highway headed to his new mansion estimated at $5 million dollars in Geres, Portugal. The mansion conjures images of the beautiful home in the movie, “The Glass House,” with spectacular views of mountains and the Rio Lima. Ronaldo invited his family and close friends along with his model girlfriend, Irina Shayk, to inaugurate his home, which we hear has been vandalized, apparently when he was vacationing in Phuket, Thailand. Ronaldo is expanding his empire by opening up more stores in Angola and Luxembourg. His mansion in northern Portugal, simply beautiful, is just one of the many homes he owns.
Some of the mansions that are on the top list are: Mariah Carey’s home in Beverly Hills, estimated over $125 million, with 15 bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, 2 kitchens along with a tennis court and swimming pool. It’s a real palace. In second place is Brad and Angelina the beautiful mansion in Bernerville, France. Coming in third place is Celine Dion an estimated $16 million, a palace with oceanfront views in Florida. Uma Thurman’s mansion an estimated $12 million is gorgeous, about two hours from Manhattan, along the Hudson River has 16 bedrooms. Heidi Klum’s mansion in Beverly Hills an estimated $8 million has 6 bedrooms, library, tennis court and pool. A definite eye-catcher. You really have to wonder who is doing the cooking in the mansions?
To celebrate Julia Child’s 100th birthday on August 15, her longtime publisher Knopf is organizing Julia Child Restaurant Week, in which over 100 restaurants all over the country will offer special menus featuring Child’s most beloved recipes. Food networks and chefs are honoring this wonderful late bloomer who at the age of 49 published “Mastering the Art of French cooking,” and at 50 made her debut as “The French Chef” on public television.
Rose’s Scoop: Kanye West and girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, better known as the couple "Kimye," played a new track from his album last week in New York at a club believed to be about his girlfriend, Kim.
