HOLLYWOOD—I recently read “ The Happiness Project,” by Gretchen Rubin. Some have criticized the book because the author has a comfortable lifestyle and is not struggling in the way people hit by the recession are. But changing ones behavior is hard on everyone, regardless of their economic status. Rubin's book has many valuable insights that can change the way we think. The author is thoughtful and her perspective study of happiness is brilliant. Her style can appeal to all, as she implies that you too can make the shift to a happier life, by taking steps as simple as getting organized and decluttering your closet. The book is well-written and full of wisdom.
Robert Pattinson should read the "Happiness Project". The actor hit the headlines last month when his girlfriend and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart fessed up to an “indiscretion,” with married director Rupert Sanders. The outpouring of emotional support from his fans has been amazing. The Hollywood heartthrob, 26, stepped out on August 14, for the first time since Kristen Stewart humiliated him. He filmed an appearance for Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” and then walked the red carpet for the premiere of his film “Cosmopolis.” He’s doing the rounds with appearances on “Good Morning America and an MTV special. On “Good Morning America,” George Stephanopoulos asked him about his personal life. However, Pattinson refused to respond, eluding the question.
Pattinson is set to follow in the footsteps of acting legend Peter O’Toole by portraying Lawrence of Arabia in a new movie. The heartthrob has been cast as Army officer T.E. Lawrence in upcoming project "Queen of the Desert," alongside Naomi Watts, according to Variety. His personal life may be in shambles but his career is taking off. The original film, released in 1962, follows the story of a soldier’s experiences in World War I in Arabia and is considered one of the greatest movies ever made.
As for Stewart, she is featured in the September issue of Vogue, the one with Lady Gaga on the cover. The press has been following her every move, along with Pattinson’s not-so-happy fans.

Sometimes when you fall in love, it’s not with a man, it’s with a movie. The release of “Sparkle,” on August 17, will be love at first sight. If you truly were a fan of Houston’s you’ll see it. It will star the late Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks set in the 1960s, about three sisters who become a Motown sensation, however fame becomes a challenge as a family begins to fall apart. The anticipation of the movie just to see the late Whitney Houston will most likely make it a success. We will have to wait and see if Whitney’s fans will go to the box-office to catch her final performance in the movie “Sparkle.”
Rose’s Scoop: So what does everyone think of Miley Cyrus’s new pixie-cut look? Perhaps she’s getting ready for 12/21/12.
